Bourjois' Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick

Hey dolls, hope you're all well! Today I wanted to share with you my experience with Bourjois' new Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick. It claims to have 24 hold, so I put that to the test (well, sort of!)

First of all, the packaging is nice a dainty. It is applied with a soft applicator, just like lipgloss, except it isn't sticky or heavy on the lips. This one is in the shade '07 Nude-ist' with the Matte Finish, which I love, as it's just a bit darker than my natural lip and light enough to wear everyday.

10am - 30 mins after application
7pm - 9.5 hours later **
I left the house at 10am this morning and have only just returned, so not really a 24hour test but, here are my before and after pictures, 9 hours on after first applying. As you can see, nine hours later, it has stayed on really well - especially since I've been out for lunch, had a coffee, a drink in Costa and a cuppa when I got in! Although this test wasn't 24hours long, I'm still really impressed with the hold of this lipstick - I mean, come on; 9 hours is a long time!

It is very easy to apply as it's so smooth, the applicator almost glides over the lips. Definitely a good 10/10 in my book. Plus it's only £8.99 so who can complain! I plan to be making good use of Superdrug's 3 for 2 Bourjois offer very soon to purchase of this fabulous lipstick except in other colours!

This was quite a fun one to do actually, as I kept wanting to apply more, as normal like after lunch and so on. But I'm really impressed with the overall outcome and hold!

Ooh and guess what guys; I just found out that I passed my first year of uni with a 2:1! Yay!

Lots of Love, until next time,

Rosie xox

** Please ignore the state of my eyebrows in these photos. We are currently at war as I try to grow them back in after a disappointing visit to the beauticians!

Products I've used up and bought again!

Today I thought I share with you some of my favourite products that I've bought, used up and bought again!

First up is the Elvive Extraordinary Hair Oil. I believe I may have mentioned this beauty in my Hair Revival post, but if you missed that, take it from me; this is the best hair oil on the market. It successfully binds your hair making it stronger, feel nicer - without being too slippy and oily, and it heals split ends. For the petit price of £9.99 you'll receive post-salon worthy locks, so I'd say it's definitely worth a try if your hair is lacking luster at the moment!

Secondly is the 'Scrub Your Nose In It' soft face scrub from Soap And Glory. I bought this last April, yes - 11 months ago and it has only just ran out! Which is fantastic! That's like 80pence a month. (£9 in total!) For my full review on this scrub see here. It was literally second nature repurchasing this scrub. And i don't regret it one bit, as it's become a key part of my facial cleansing routine.

Last but not least is the 'They're Real' mascara from Benefit which retails at £19.50. I bought this one in December, that being my third time repurchasing this product. I just find it really easy to use. The brush is quite delicate (but sturdy) and has very thin bristles so it doesn't get clogged up easily, which is why it applies mascara so well - giving the illusion that they're your real eyelashes. It opens up your eyes, which is why I'd highly recommend it! The actually mascara isn't gloopy and doesn't get caught on the brush which is always a bonus.

Also, I know quite a few people who are allergic to other mascaras and beauty products who have really sensitive eyes, but all of them find that the benefit 'They're real' mascara works wonders and doesn't leave them in pain!

I find you can apply this mascara in one of two ways. One: is to layer it up and it gives a nice thick lash, or two: slowly apply from the very underneath of your top lash for the perfect 'they're real' look.

What products do you re-buy and re-buy? So you use any of these? Let me know in the comments below!

Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner Review

First of all, sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've had a very stressful couple of weeks trying to get our house sorted for next year and it all just got a bit too much.

So if you're still with me (thanks!), I have another beauty review here for you from the wonderful Aussie brand!

Recently my hair has been feeling and looking as down as me, so I popped into my local Boots and picked up this little gem of a conditioner for only £4.99 - not bad! It's the '3 Minute Miracle Hair Reconstructor for damaged hair'. Now I wouldn't say my hair was damaged, but who cares, it just means that I'd get a stronger treatment - which I was definitely up for.

So after having used this product several times, I think I'm qualified to review it. And I'd give it a good 9/10!

It does exactly what it says on the bottle: "smoothes split ends and helps transform dry hair into manageable shiny locks in just three minutes."

And now I have post-salon worthy locks that look and feel luscious! It has such lovely sweet scent too, as do all the Aussie products, which is so so yummy to breathe in whilst you're letting it sink in.

It is simple to use and extremely effective. The only thing that knocked -1 down for me, was that my Mum is allergic to Aussie products - so it's clearly not for everyone or those with sensitive scalps - but other than that this baby is the bomb.

Have you tried this product? What did you think?

Also, if you have any ideas or products that you'd like me to try out and review, I'd be happy to help - just let me know in the comments below!

Lots of love,
Rosie xx
