Tea for Two & OOTD

If you saw my last blogpost, you’ll know that I was lucky enough to receive a trip to The Rubens hotel (at the palace) for afternoon tea. (Thank you Auntie M and Uncle R!)

So last Monday, me and my Mum got the train down to London nice and early, checked into the hotel we’d be staying at, then headed towards Knightsbridge for a little shopping.

At 3o’clock we arrived in style by car to the Rubens and were seated in the corner by the window for Afternoon Tea.

We met the cutest old couple too – they were celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary – so cute! So if you’re reading this (however unlikely): it was so lovely to meet you.

My Mum and I got through four pots of tea, and I think it’s safe to say that it really was the best tea I’ve ever had! The scones were also just as good! The staff even brought me a birthday card - it was so lovely.

Here are a few photos from the day:

What am I wearing?

My 18th Birthday!

My Mum is so talented!

So last Saturday was my 18th birthday – I’m finally an adult – yippee! In the evening I met with a few of my closest friends and went into town for the first time (legally), but the celebrations didn’t end there.

I was lucky enough to receive tickets to see Wicked the musical in London from my parents, and a gift voucher to have ‘Afternoon tea’ at the Rubens at the Palace! I’m so grateful to all my family as I had an amazing time at the theatre, having tea and of course… shopping!

(I’ll be sure to do a blogpost soon on my Afternoon Tea experience, what I wore and all that jazz very soon.)

I got the dress I wore for my birthday, quite a while ago from ‘Miss Patina’, which is literally the cutest brand ever. They sell in the odd Topshop store, but are mostly online, and as soon as I saw this dress I fell in love. Because..
1. It’s velvet.
2. It’s Peplum.
3. It is Burgundy & Navy! i.e. my two favourite colours!

Anyway, I had a wonderful birthday and I couldn’t have shared it with anyone better, as my friends and family were just so lovely!

Thanks for reading,

Love Roseanne

My Parisian Adventure!

As you may, or may not know, I recently went to Paris with my A-Level French class and oh my … it was amazing! I can totally see why everyone gets so hyped up about it. The city is so beautiful and picturesque, we had a fantastic time sightseeing - playing tourists, serenading the French population on the Metro, and of course; practising our speaking skills.

Here are a few pictures from the trip, showing you what we got up to..

My bag and ticket on the Eurostar!

L'Arc de Triomphe staircase

My first night in Paris - Champs-Élysées

The first night was wonderful! We climbed the steps of  L'Arc de Triomphe, and after much huffing and puffing - we made it to the top. And I'll tell you now, the climb was 1000% worth it because just look at the view!

The cutest merry-go-round outside L'hotel de ville

The weather was très belle!

A cheeky selfie by the Seine!

La Tour Eiffel!

We spent a lot of time walking from one place to another, which was so wonderful. It was a really great way to see the city too, the picture above was taken by the river bank in front of the Eiffel Tower. As you can see from the photos, we were blessed with sunny weather for the entire trip, and were able to sunbathe by Trocadero whilst learning our French Oral's.

Beautiful posters on the street

French books!

The street art was amazing!

It was honestly the best trip I have ever been on, Paris is sooo beautiful and I can't wait to go back! I can't even imagine what it would be like to live there (heaven!) but let's save that for another time.

If you've been to Paris too, drop me a comment below or tweet me, I'd love to hear what you got up to!

Ta ta for now,

P.S. Sorry this post took so long to upload, my internet was down for a week!
