My 'Boxing Day Sales' Haul!

With the Christmas season being in full swing and with being home with friends and family, I regret to admit that I’ve been too busy to blog! :( But no matter, I have plenty of posts lined up for the next few weeks.

This Boxing Day I fully committed to the Christmas Sales and woke up bright and early with one intention in mind, and one intention only: to shop, shop, shop.

Anyway, enough with the chit-chat, here's what I got . . .

Black Sony Headphones - £14.99 Argos
Topshop Lip Cream - £2 Topshop
Black Floral Velvet Top - £6 New Look

Black Velvet Dress - £14 VERO MODA
Gold Necklace - £1.99 H&M
Ring Set - £3.99 H&M

Teal Top with Paint drip style hem - £10 VEROMODA
Burgundy Cut Out Top - £8 New Look

Black Capri Pants - Reebok £12
Green Marl Top - £8 VEROMODA
Silk Bra - £10 Next
I didn’t shop till I dropped, but I did pick up a few things and I’m rather happy with my purchases as almost all the items I picked up were on sale so I saved a fortune!

You may have noticed I haven't fully shown you the black velvet dress I got (such a bargain!) But I'm saving it to wear tonight for NYE, so no peeking!

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Bloglovin to keep updated with All Things Rosy!

See you next year my lovelies,

My pretty tea cups on display

Plastic Drawers - TKMaxx

Mirror - The Range

White Pots - Ikea

Duvet Cover - Dunelm

Necklaces hooks - Sass&Belle

It dawned on me just the other day that I’ve been living away at uni for a good four months now (golly!) and I still haven’t shown off my little bedroom to y’all.

So here is my bedroom away in S’land. I’m really happy with it, I think I’ve decorated it nicely and it feels nice and homely now. I think my favourite part is probably the shelves or maybe the photos I've got up by the sink.

This is my last day in Sunderland as tomorrow I'm heading back home to the Midlands for Christmas, so hopefully I'll have a few more posts to share with you before 2014 is up!

Hope you liked this post, if you have any questions feel free to ask me below in the comments or tweet me @roseanne_sophia.

Mwah!

The Clothes Show Dec 2014

Cruising in the Carmex car with Sophie & Rebecca.

Goodies!

Carmex Goodies!

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Brushes!

Judging by the title of this post you can probably tell what I'm going to talk about - my trip to the Clothes Show.

This Monday I was lucky enough to bag a ticket to the Clothes Show courtesy of my University for only £10 (!) - fashion journalism perks!

If you've never been before it is basically a fashion show in which they usually tell a story and have live performers and celebrity hosts. There are also a good range of fashion and beauty stalls, all offering amazing discounts for the show-goers only. So you can't come away empty handed and you'll most definitely bag yourself a bargain.

Unfortunately, we arrived quite late so missed our showing of the main Fashion Show, only to find out after that we could have just gone to any of the showings :( (blonde moments!)

Besides that, and the unbearable 6 hour journey down to Birmingham, we had an amazing day. The stalls were unbelievable - there must have been a good 300 stalls selling everything from vintage Levi's to scented candles.

I took advantage of the Carmex stall (of course), you all know I do love my Carmex. If you haven't tried it - get yourself some - it's a must-have this season for those dry, chapped lips.
I picked up the twisty one in the original flavour - as I can never find this in regular drugstores, and the Berry tint Carmex - which I've been dying to try.

I also picked up some gorgeous 'The Vintage Cosmetic Company' makeup brushes. I picked up these four for a absolute bargain of £10! Normally marketed at £7-16 each, I'd say I'm pretty proud of my purchases! And to top it all off they're a cute pinky colour and work really well!

Another one of the stalls I couldn't ignore was the Barry M stand. Offering nail varnishes and lipsticks for £2.99 you saved a £1 or you could get two for £5 which is what I did. I also got a free Lambrini nail varnish, which I really like the colour of!

Last but not least, I bought a dress from the 'Glamourous' stand. I believe this brand sells from Ark stores, but I'm not 100 per cent certain.
The dress I got was a dark burgundy colour with a lovely greeny/blue paisley pattern. It's a really nice, light material and of a skater style with 3/4 length sleeves. I can't wait to style it up with a big chunky scarf and boots in the day then with tights and heels for the night!

As for my outfit for the day, I apologise about the shocking pose I'm doing, you'd think after a year and a half of blogging I'd have mastered it, but clearly not.

Anyway ... what am I wearing?

  •  The top is originally a River Island dress that I cut up and made into a laptop case and a skirt. But I love the cute daisy pattern!
  • Jeans – Black Topshop Joni Style
  • Chelsea Boots – New Look
  • Bag – Mary Portas at House of Fraser
  • Cardigan – stolen from my sister’s wardrobe

I was also wearing my burgundy coat with the cosy fur around the neck, but it had to come off because I was too hot.

All in all I'd say it was a fantastic day out - one to definitely share with friends. Speaking of friends, two of mine both spent £20 on palm reading at the show, which was very interesting to say the least!

That's all for today my lovelies, if you liked this post be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' and share on Twitter!

Lots of love,
Rosie

All the items in this look book are from Miss Selfridge. This outfit would be perfect for a Christmas night out with friends, or even a dinner.

This beaded top is just to die for isn't it? It's so well made and put together, you'll be looing like a glamorous flapper  girl in no time. Paired with razor-knee black jeans, it accentuates the detailing on the top, which deserves to be shown off. Along with a killer clutch, elegant black heels and a fluffy stole you'll be ready for the runway!

Time Flies

This weekend I was lucky enough to be able to go home for a few days as we have a 'reading week' at Uni, which is basically like a half term in which you should do some work!

The reading week provided me with a great opportunity to go home and visit my family as I haven't seen them since I started waaay back in September (the 13th to be exact). And it was recently both my Sister's and my Dad's birthdays. So it was lovely to be able to go home and just be around them again.

Saying that, it really was a jam-packed weekend. I got the train down to Derby at 8pm on Friday so arrived at 10:30pm both knackered and drowsy. My Mum picked me up from the train station and took me home - straight to bed in fact as I'd had a very busy day - including my first shift at my new job! (I got a job at Costa! *Woop woop*)

And oh my, can I tell you how much I missed my own bed. It was beautiful to wake up in a double bed. I can't even convey how comfy it was in comparison to my bed at uni. Wow.

Back in my own room!

Blogging at my desk
Saturday was just spent chilling. Relaxing in my own room. Watching Orange is the New Black and seeing my dear Auntie and Cousin.

Peter and I on the swings!
On Sunday, we went to Alton Towers to celebrate my sisters 13th birthday and we had a great day out! It ended up being just me and my brother, Peter, going round together, as Claire and her friend stayed together, which worked out really nicely as we never really have time alone to chill. The rides there were fab, as were the doughnuts, which we treated ourselves to! And to top it off we‘re pretty sure that we saw Chris Robson (the England Rugby player) there too!

On Monday, I was surprised to have an early visit from my cousin Jess before she went back to Leicester, which was lovely, as I really have missed her! Then I headed to Nottingham to meet my best friend Megan, and we went to the White Rabbit tearoom, which was adorable! It was great to see her too because it’s just been so long.* I was then surprised for a second time that day when my friend Nicole text me to see if I wanted a cuppa since she had an hour to spare (she’s a very busy gal) – and I jumped at it! So we had a lovely little catch up over tea and biscuits in my room.

*Uni is great and all but golly gosh I have missed my friends!

Then to top it all off, on Monday night my Mum and I went for a meal out and a well needed catch up. It was officially the best day I’ve had in a long time!

FWIS - Tuesdays Outfit
Tuesday wasn't as hectic. I just popped into Derby to see my close friend Frances, who is an absolute cutie! We went to Frankie & Benny’s for lunch then did a spot of Christmas shopping – it was wonderful! Then I went back home to pack up all the things I forgot to bring the first time ready for my 8pm train back to Newcastle.

All in all, I had an amazing weekend, although it did feel so odd to be home as I now have a new place that I refer to as home. It just happens to be 150miles away. It's just a shame it all went by so quickly, but as they say: 'Time Flies when you're having fun!'

I hope you enjoyed this post, even if it was mostly me rambling! If you’re interested in a range of uni related posts can you let me know in the comments below? I’m thinking of doing a room tour/ootd kinda thing but I’m not too sure so let me know!

Until next time my lovelies,

Love Rosie
